Here I am again, stopping by to tell you what I have been up to. Well as you will see from the pictures I will post, I have been working on sunflower items. I do love them, they make me smile...always did. The other flower I like is similar I guess, it is the black eyed susan. I am not, and I stress not a gardener. Wish I was and could be, but usually I forget to water them and we all know what happens then. I tried tomato plants, green peppers last summer...well I did get a few cherry tomatoes, but the big ones split and just didn't fair too well. The year before I planted a bunch of tomato plants too and they got a blight...so I think this year I will leave it up to the farmers and save myself some money.
But now that we got the fact I am a terrible gardener out of the way, I am happy with my sunflower jars, and holders. I am trying to get my stock built up for future craft shows that I will be doing. Some days I work well, and others I just wanna have fun and do other things. It all evens out, cause when I have to cram I get a ton done is a very short time frame. I am going to post these items, they are all one of a kind and are available for purchase in my etsy shop. Here is the link to it..... deniseskountrypatch.etsy.com
Have a wonderful day and hugs to all.

Hi everyone, hope you all are waiting as patiently as I am for this "spring" that seems to be stalling it's arrival. Again today after some nice warm days, I woke up to slushy white stuff. Now I know I am not the only one who is tired of winter. I seem to have so much more energy when the sun is shinning and the windows are open. But enough of old man winter, my first craft show of the year was this past Saturday.
Staying overnight in a hotel is not my favorite thing to do, unless it is a Hampton Inn, the beds in most others are really bad. These bad beds result in no sleep, and a long show day. It started off a bit slow, I really was worried that it was going to be an "Oh No" show. But then the people started showing up and it wasn't too bad. We all want for more, but I am happy with how I did in the end. Some things I sold out of quickly and wished I brought more, and some didn't sell at all....but that sometimes happens and then the next show they are a hot item. Never know in this business what will be the star of the show.
It was so nice seeing some of my friends who started out as customers, and now we have a great bond. The majority of my customers have been with me for many years, and I have grown to know them quite well. I love hearing what they have done with the crafts they bought from me and where they have put them. They tell me I am not allowed to retire...gosh I have to be honest I have been thinking of that a lot lately. Where did almost 25 years go? My son is going to be 30 next month and I started crafting when he was in kindergarten. Wow...time flies and now instead of thinking about that, I am going to post you all some pictures from my show...enjoy and hugs to all...

Hi everyone, just wanted to touch base with you all. I have been pretty sick now for about 2 weeks, just can't shake this cold, congestion and cough. So with that in mind, I didn't get very much done around here. My house is in dire need of attention, but I was really liking my bed for about a week. I am not used to laying down, but this gave me no choice. I am feeling a bit better, still have some leftover congestion and cough but it is gradually improving. I did get a few new items done and I will show you some of the things I made up for listing on my Etsy shop. I was not a total lazy butt...some days it was like chain me to the table already as I looked for any excuse to climb the steps and lay down. I am really glad spring is on it's way, this winter really grated on my nerves for some reason. We have a few mounds of snow still in the yard, but slowly it is melting away. Well enough chat for now, I will post the pictures for all to see. Send me a comment if you can, my first craft show of the year is tomorrow so I will post some pictures of other new stuff the beginning of the week. deniseskountrypatch.etsy.com
Hugs to all.

Hi everyone, hope your days are getting brighter with Spring on the horizon. I am really tired of this Winter..how about you?....the snow has been melted and the grass was showing so many times, and now again it is covered with that dreaded white stuff. I am definitely not a snow bunny in any way, shape or form. I like some snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but that is enough for me. But after just writing that, I am thinking that is somehow not completely true. I do like to walk in a snowfall especially at night, when the snow is still falling...there is something really magical about it. With Spring just around the corner...I am wanting the warm mornings, coffee on the deck, and watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders. I want to open the windows, air out the house and have the breeze come in.
With Spring come the babies...we usually have a few turkey families when end up being like a flock of 30 or more once the little ones arrive. Our deer come for the corn I put out, and the old bread that the birds don't finish. We have had twins every year with some of the moms...even triplets every few years...what a joy to watch those spotted babies grow up and come back the next year with babies of their own...Once in a while we get a glimpse of the buck...hunting season bothers me a lot, I just always hope they all make it through it. This winter has been hard for the animals...I have around 14 squirrels, a dozen of crows, cardinals, bluejay's and a host of other small birds at my feeders every morning eating their fill...love watching them, something very peaceful about it. I am gonna wrap this post up, leaving you with a picture of one of my creations for my upcoming shows which will be starting soon. Have a wonderful day and come back again. Hugs to all....

Hi Everyone, it is a great sunny day here in Pa...a bit cold still, but at least the snow is melting...Congrats to Amy, she won the giveaway!! I will do another one soon, so keep watching. Today I am going to show you what I have been doing for 3 days in my basement. Yes, 3 days of standing in one spot, but the end results are good. I have a good stock built up of all the items I dipped in my grungy wax. Today I will layer them on wax paper in my "recycled" empty cat litter buckets. Love using them, they are really air tight, and stack so well for things like this. I am going to post some of these hopefully this week on etsy....I hope you like the changes on my blog..more to come, thinking about a selling blog, once I figure it out. One small change can take me hours to do, as I never did any of this before. Hope you all like the candles, candy canes, old clothespins that I dipped in my wax mix...wishing everyone a wonderful day, spring is almost here!!!! Hugs to all.
