About Me

I have been crafting and doing shows for 20 plus years. I have 3 children and I love creating primitive country crafts. I am married and my husband is my biggest asset to my success. But I can't forget the help my children have been through the years and still to this day. This has been a true family event. I hope you like what you see. I have made so many friends through the years. They started out as customers an are now dear friends, and that is all worth the long hours that we all put into making our creations. I say our creations, because my husband and children help in so many ways. Enjoy my pictures and posts, have a cup of coffee and some downtime to just relax...and come back soon...from my house to yours, Denise

Hi again everyone.
I told you in my last post I would tell you about the new kitten I got a while after Tater Tot passed away.  It took me a while to look for a new one, I went with my daughter a few times searching but came up empty.  Partially because I wasn't ready, and partly because I didn't find "the one".  Then one day I was heading to another town for some craft supplies. As I was sitting at the light waiting for it to turn green, I suddenly thought... the SPCA is a few blocks down this road if I take a right.  Well that is what I did, and I walked in not thinking I would find anything as it was not really kitten season.  I told the woman I was looking for a young male cat, and she showed me a adult female, telling me how friendly she was.  Then after her showing me 2 more adult cats, I was resigned to leave thinking oh well....as I turned I didn't notice this huge room with a big glass door and it housed about 6 to 8 cats.

My eyes caught this little orange fur baby sleeping in a fuzzy bed.  I asked to see it, and found out it was a male.  As I took him from her arms, he snuggled into my neck rubbing and rubbing his head and kissing my ear.

Well, long story short, I put in an application for him, and had to go back the next day to get him.  As I walked out the shelters door the day I picked him up to take him home, it was Dec. 6th exactly 4 months to the day Tater passed, and I looked at the clock in the car and it was 1:30pm......the same time that he went to sleep.  Now, many people have said to me, in a strange way Tater led me to him, as I was not planning on looking for a kitten that day, but somehow I found him.

Now this poor kitten was here for a month with no name...I was leaning to "Little Tot"...I tried so many names, but finally one day I thought of one of my favorite movies and said that is it....I am Sam.....I named him Sam,.....Samson when he is being bold....so that is Sams story and how he found a new home when he left the shelter.

What a heartwarming story. As a Rescue Mommy I am always happy to hear of people bringing these beautiful creatures into their homes.
